NOS

Cost: $2.79
Taste rating: 6.5
Kick rating: 7
Overall judgment rating: 6.5

When my friend first told me about NOS, I was syched. I thought it would be the best energy drink I'd ever try! Unfortunately, I was wrong. I picked this up at the 7/11 in Windsor, CT. (I live in CT if you didn't know.) I went to 7/11 for free slurpee day and saw this in the fridge and I was so psyched. But, I didn't get what I should have gotten for the price.

Taste: This had a very bitter, citrus-ie, alchohal-ie taste. My friend loves it, me not so much. I was surprised on how bitter it was. It was very fruity, almost like combining grapefruit and orange juice freshly squeezed and added a ton of caffeine. This gets a not to great rating of 6.5.

Kick: Okay, we already know the taste is not great, but how's the kick? Half good, half bad. I would say the kick's definately better than the taste but not worth it for $2.79 just buy a Red Bull for $2.00 and get a better kick. This gets a rating of 7.

Final judgment rating: You can also get this in a bottle that looks like a tank, which would be fun to keep and look at after you drink it. This has a bitter taste, not to great kick and costs a lot. This gets a final rating of 6.5.

Red Bull-Sugar Free

Cost: $2.19
Taste rating: 7
Kick rating: 7.5
Final Judgment rating: 7

So, after I had Red Bull I decided today to try some Red Bull Sugar Free. It tastes okay, not the best, not the worst. I kind of thought it tasted a little fruity. I wouldn't say that it's not good, but it's not to great either.

Taste: Like I said, it's okay, not bad, not good. I thought personally it tasted fruity. Again, it made me gag after about 3-4 ounces. I did think that it could have been more sweeter but you know, what can you expect it's sugarfree. This gets a taste rating of 7 because it did taste kind of good with not that much of an aftertaste.

Kick: This kick was pretty good, even for drinking only almost half of the can. It kept me awake and running for about 4 hours. It did make it hard for me to keep my eyes open, like it's hard right now when I'm writing this review. But it is good for the time being. This gets a 7.5 rating.

Overall judgment rating: This is a pretty good energy drink before the school/work day. The taste is not too bad and the kick is great. And it's sugar free. This gets a rating of 7.

Red Bull

Cost: $2.19
Taste rating: 8.5
Kick rating: 7.5
Final judgment rating: 8.5

This is my first energy drink review, so of course I chose the original energy drink! Red Bull! I've had Red Bull a couple times, but I had it again to right a review. We all have probably had a Red Bull before in our lives, right? After all, it's the original energy drink!

Taste: I picked this up at CVS today, but you can get it anywhere. I've had it many times and I love the weird flavor it has. It's hard to describe, but definitely a good tasting drink. This gets an 8.5 because, it's easy and fast to drink, and taste's pretty darn good!

Kick: In about 15 minutes I felt a very nice kick. I would say it lasted around 3-4 hours. I did feel a little tired after I drank the drink but the kick did last for a while so I would say it gets a rating of 7.5.

Final Judgment Rating: It tastes good, has a pretty good kick and it's the original! I would give this a final rating of 8.5 because it's pretty good overall!

Arnold Palmer Lite Half and Half Iced Tea and Lemonade

Cost: $1.00
Taste rating: 6.5
Kick rating: 7
Final judgement rating: 7

This doesn't count as an energy drink but I thought I'd just review it and see what it's all about. These are the big things in our school. The vending machine's starting carrying them about 2 weeks ago. People were going crazy. These things have 11.5 ounces, 5 % juice, and 80 calories.
Taste: These are not the best you could have. There are a lot of things better than this out there. Starbucks Ice Tea Lemonade is better. This has the taste, but not as sweet, and it also has a tang to it. The first sips not too bad, the last sip is like thank God it's over. Bad tangy citrcus flavor takes over the whole thing. And if it wasn't cold, it would taste terrible. This gets a rating of 6.5 because it does have a nice lemonade aftertaste and leaves you wanting more.
Kick: The kick from this was OK. It woke me up a little. I'd still perfer a cup of Hot Chocolate over this. After you drink the whole can you get a huge wake up but then 30 minutes later you feel drowsy. Not sure why'd they want this at school. Overall, it has an OK kick, drink a couple of this and you'll be wade awake. This gets a 7 rating.
Final Judgment Rating:
I would say this is better than an Arizona anyday and it has an OK kick. The taste is not too bad and it would be good to have 2 of these at lunch to make you wide awake for your next class. This gets a overall rating of 7.

Where to get Energy Drinks

I will start reviewing energy drinks and such around Wednesday or so, because I have time off and that's when I can get to the drug store. I know before, that I have picked up some Red Bull/Monster at my local CVS. The reason I'm not reviewing them yet is because the taste is not clearly in my mouth. So you can basically get Red Bull/Monster at any store. There are one's like NOS or AMP where I'd have to drive to Wethersfield to get some. Also, Cocaine (Energy drink) is really hard to find. I might as my friend if he can pick some up for me instead of ordering some from ebay or crap like that. Also, Doubleshots and stuff like that from Starbucks. I'm not a big fan of coffee, actually I really dislike it. So, if you want to try a Doubleshot you might want to look for someone who loves coffee. I won't give it a low review just because I don't like coffee. I'll give it a review like I like coffee. So you should come over here again sometime soon, I'll probably review Red Bull, and some other energy drinks at the store. I'll only do one a day, so that the taste of the last one in my mouth doesn't make it disgusting.
